So many have asked me how is COVID-19 going to effect the real estate market? I’m already starting to see some changes in our market. The number of showings has gone down as sellers are less amenable to show their homes, and in some cases, homes have been withdrawn from the market or put in a holding status. Despite these changes, I’m still quite optimistic about what our future holds. Homes are still being listed, and sold, and many real estate companies have put into effect safety precautions to help facilitate safe home transactions.

During this time of uncertainty, in order to keep a finger on the pulse of the market, I think it is important to keep a closer eye on three key factors:

–The number of new listings

-The number of active listings

– The number of homes under contract

-The number of homes sold

– The number of homes being taken off the market

- Active listings and solds  same time in 2019

With this in mind, I’ve decided to provide weekly updates on the Metro Atlanta market in hopes to bring a clearer picture of how this is affecting our area.
